"1-abc.net File Divider" is simple file divider justr like GSplit, HJSplit, etc.
A very small program, it gives a fine interface. Two textboxes, one for entering the file to be divided (can be filled by browsing) and the other one for specifying the output directory, are there. The usual / default file sizes like that of a floppy disk, (1.44 MB or near size), regular CD (660 MB or near size), DVD etc are already there, and we can specify our own custom size also.
File splitting and merging operations are really fast, depending only on the speed of the media (CD / DVD / Hard Disk).
There is a deleting method that overwrites the files you want to delete with another file. So, no one can recover the original file. This feature is only available in the full version!
There is no feature in the program to burn a CD with the output files.
We will get many freewares which does the same or better job than this one. So, I dont think buying this software is a good idea. They should have added more features like CD burning, password encrypting the files, etc. Then it would have been worth the cost. |
